Karoline Leavitt’s “heartless” comment after Biden cancer diagnosis

Just one day after former President Joe Biden revealed he has an aggressive form of prostate cancer, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt made comments that many found insensitive.

When asked if President Trump was concerned about the quality of medical care for U.S. presidents, Leavitt responded that Trump has full confidence in his doctors and is in excellent health, highlighting his recent physical exam and stamina during a Middle East trip.

While she aimed to reassure the public, critics called her remarks “heartless,” given Biden’s serious diagnosis. Biden’s prostate cancer has spread to his bones and is classified as high-grade (Gleason score 9), though it’s hormone-sensitive and may respond to treatment.

He is currently considering treatment options while staying at his home in Wilmington, Delaware. Experts remain cautiously optimistic about his prognosis.
